MyInstaDL started with a simple frustration: saving a single video from Instagram required either a sketchy app stuffed with ads, a screen recording that butchered the quality, or a downloader site that demanded your Instagram login. None of those felt right. We believed downloading public content should be as easy as copy, paste, done — with no accounts, no password requests, and no quality loss.
What we built
MyInstaDL is a web-based toolbox that downloads Instagram reels, feed videos, stories, highlights, photos and full-size profile pictures in their original quality. Everything runs in your browser: pick the tool you need, type a username, preview the media, press download. The files stream straight from Instagram's own CDN through our high-throughput proxy — we never re-encode, never watermark, never archive.
What we will never do
- Ask for your Instagram password. Any site that does is a phishing operation — walk away.
- Access private accounts. That data is protected for a reason, and no honest tool can touch it.
- Sell or profile your data. We do not even know who you are — no login exists here.
- Store your downloads. Media passes through; nothing is kept on our servers.
How the site sustains itself
Running extraction infrastructure costs real money — servers, proxies and API credits. We keep MyInstaDL free by showing unobtrusive ads through Google AdSense. That is the entire business model: you watch a banner occasionally, we keep the lights on, nobody gets charged a cent and nobody gets their account risked.
Our content promise
The guides on this blog are written to genuinely help: real steps, real troubleshooting, real talk about legality and etiquette. We update them as Instagram's interfaces change, and we avoid the filler that plagues most downloader sites. If something on this site can be improved, tell us — we read every message through the contact page.
